Draft privacy notice
Who operates this service
An independent recruitment and CV-building platform under development.
There is no company behind it yet. Two things a privacy notice normally states are therefore not stated here, and are deliberately left blank rather than filled in with a guess:
- Publishable name of the operator: to be supplied. - Country, and the law that applies: to be supplied.
Also still to be supplied: a contact route, how long records and files are kept, and the legal basis for processing. New accounts stay closed until these are decided and published, which is why nobody can register while this page still reads like this.
What is collected
Your account details: username, and an email address if you give one. Your profile and CV content, if you create them. CVs made in the CV Builder -- the details entered and the generated files -- are stored on the server, including CVs made without an account. Records of jobs you save and applications you send. Basic technical information needed to run the service, such as the address a request came from, used for rate limiting.
What is shared, and when
Applying to a job shares the resume you selected, the contact details you confirmed, your answers and your cover letter with that company. Only authorised members of that company can see them. Nothing is shared with any other company.
Your profile and CVs are private by default. They are not published, not indexed by search engines, and not offered to employers to browse.
What an application keeps
An application stores a copy of what you sent at the time you sent it. Editing your profile afterwards does not change a copy an employer already received -- if it did, an employer would be looking at something you never submitted.
Deleting a resume removes it from future use. It does not delete applications you already sent.
Your data
Signed-in users can download their data and delete their account under "Your data". Deleting an account removes the profile, saved jobs and searches, notifications and resumes from the account, and anonymises the applications and CV records that are kept. The CV, resume and photo files stored for the account are removed from the site's active storage too. If a file cannot be removed straight away, its removal stays pending until an administrator completes it; there is no automatic retry. Removal covers active storage only: copies inside server backups are not edited and go only when those backups expire, and a copy someone already downloaded cannot be reached at all.
Still to be decided
The operator's publishable name and country (see the top of this page), how to contact them, how long records and files are kept, how someone who made a CV without an account can ask for it to be removed, and which legal basis applies. These are not written here because they have not been decided, and inventing them would be misleading.
